Bay Area Vegetarians (BAVeg) is a San Francisco Bay Area wide group for vegan, vegetarian and animal rights folks to connect and find support with like-minded folks. We invite you to be an active part of our community.
We're open to new leaders and volunteers to help us promote compassion to animals and veganism. If you've got a wonderful idea, we want to hear from you! Don't be shy, and don't worry if you've never done it before, as that's true for many of us.
We are a 100% volunteer, no fees, plant-powered organization with over 4,000 members throughout the Bay Area and beyond.

"Lots of choices, most of which are basic but satisfying. 100% vegan restaurants are liberating ... Excellent choice for dining with your omnivore friends who like standard menu items, as the large menu has something for everyone. The neighborhood is a little sketchy but slowly improving. Other two Herbivore locations are convenient to BART and have better ambience, especially the Berkeley one."
